Spread the love!

As the summer becomes a distant memory and fall hastiness begins, I find myself gravitating towards music that transports me away. A temporary sonic place where there are no stresses or cares and you find inner peace as an imaginary ocean breeze blows in the distance. Hirie’s recently release ‘Wandering Soul’ is the perfect vehicle to take me there. Her blend of reggae, pop and a little R&B move you spiritually as you get swept up in the island grooves.

I connected with Hirie and band saxophonist Chris Hampton earlier in the year at Blaze ’N’ Glory (peep the soundclips below), a 420 friendly carnival and chill fest in the 100 degree mountains of San Bernardino to discuss world travels, Hawaiian island life, early karaoke and recital memories, reggae cruise WTF moments, where to find the best Mexican food in San Diego, the inspiration for the new album and musical collection surprises. Don’t miss them on tour right now and visit Hirie’s website for more ticket and album info!
